Tracy Williams - Circuit Administrator
Tracy Williams has been an active part of the colorguard activity for 32 years as a Performer, Choreographer, Director, Colorguard Consultant, Tabulator, Judge, Contest Director, Circuit Administrator, WGI Mid America Regional Director, WGI Contest Administrator, and Music Licensing Administrator. She has been fortunate enough to work in both West Coast Winter Guard and Winter Guard Association of Southern California, Texas Educational Colorguard Association, North Texas Colorguard Association and Winter Guard International. Tracy got her start at Agoura High School and moved on to San Diego State University where she was a member of the SDSU Marching Aztecs. In 1991 she moved from San Diego, CA to San Antonio, TX where she started her family and continued to teach. In San Antonio, with TECA, she served as a Championship Show Host and found her true niche in administration. She also learned the judging trade under some of the best WGI Judge Trainers of the era, to include Shirlee Whitcomb. In 1996, Tracy moved with her family to the Dallas, TX area, where, at the end of the 1997 winter season in NTCA, Tracy was asked to step up and be the first Contest Director, where she served until 2005. During her time as Contest Director/Circuit Administrator Tracy worked with Melinda Wemhoff and the NTCA Board to grow the winterguard activity in TX, bring top designers, judges and educational opportunities to the winter circuits of TX, bring uniformity and profitability to the NTCA show hosts through the How To Host manual, establish the WGI Dallas Regional and brought national attention to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, establish the winter percussion branch of NTCA, and work to improve relationships between all the winterguard circuits in TX. In 2002, Tracy was elected to the newest Regional Director position in WGI, Mid America Region. Tracy proudly served the Mid America Region till the disbanning of the WGI Regional Directors. Tracy continued on as a WGI Contest Administrator until 2014.
Today, Tracy is living in the Rancho Bernardo area with her 2 younger sons, Ross and Riley, and Kevin Bell. Her oldest son, Rhys, is currently serving as an active Reservist in the U.S. Marine Corp and is to be married in 2019. Ross is also a U.S. Marine Corp Reservist stationed at Camp Pendleton and is attending college in the San Diego area. Riley is currently a sophomore at Rancho Bernardo HS and is a member of the Rancho Bernardo Royal Regiment Band. Tracy continues to support the colorguard activity in the San Diego area and is currently serving as the Tabulator for the newly established West Coast Winter Guard circuit.
